Dr. Bouida is a Canadian Professional Engineer and IEEE Senior Member whose work advances next-generation wireless networks, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and integrated terrestrial/non-terrestrial (satellite-enabled) networks. His career bridges academia and industry, from leading the Internet of Things Lab and the Carleton–Cisco IoT Testbed in Canada to enabling resilient communication, smart grids, and accessible technologies in Kuwait, Qatar, and beyond.

Design and analysis of spectrum-efficient transmission schemes, integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and advanced radio access for 5G/6G systems. This includes adaptive modulation, diversity combining, and power-control techniques for reliable links in challenging environments.
